It’s rare to find an isolated virtual training session that’s an event unto itself. It’s much more common to find virtual training sessions as part of a larger learning solution. There will either be a series of virtual sessions, or a mixture of self-paced activities and live events.
This approach is called Blended Learning, referring to the blend of methodologies used in delivery. The Association for Talent Development (ATD, formerly ASTD) offers a certificate program in Blended Learning, and I am one of it’s facilitators. I wrote a short blog post here about it.
